Hillsdale NET

We're the Hillsdale Neighborhood Emergency Team, a group of neighbors who have been trained by the city of Portland Bureau of Emergency Management and Portland Fire & Rescue to provide disaster assistance in our neighborhood.

Experience shows that most immediate help in an emergency comes from your neighbors. Our most important job is to help our neighbors get prepared to help themselves and one another.

This map shows groups of people who already communicate and connect with one another.

If you're in a group like that, whether it's just a few neighbors or a large email list, let us know! We'd love to add you to our map. Knowing where you are can help us work with you when a disaster occurs. We can also support you in getting prepared! 

If you're not connected to your neighbors, we can help you get started. It's easier than you think! Our pod formation kit has a sample email, templates for sharing information, a preparedness brochure, and talking points for a first gathering. We're happy to help you hold that conversation.
